Save $ Buy Generic!!

Buying Generic can really save you money!!! Some generic products are just as good as name brand and can even be 75% less! I know I have certain things that generic just won't do like Pepsi generic cola just doesn't taste the same! But there are many things that if you took and put into brand name packaging your family would never know!

Here are some things that i find the generic to be just as good:
Cereal: In most cases the generic brand taste just as good Marshmallow Mateys are just as good as lucky charms, and apple zings taste just like apple jacks!

Staples: Flour, Sugar etc. Buy generic it is the same thing and once it is all mixed together know one will know what brand you bought!

Produce: a banana is a banana and while it is best to get produce locally at your farmers market if you can, don;t go for the name brands on this either. It wont taste any different.

Medicine: Next time your shopping for over the counter medicine take a look at labels the generics in most cases have all the same ingredients and amounts as name brand.

Baby Formula: Okay so we all want the best for our babies and so we automatically go for the name Brand and what is advertised as the best. But next time your at the store take a look at the label a lot of the time the generic store brand is the exact same thing!

Snack items: Now there are always exceptions where things aren't as good but a lot of the time it is the same. Especially when it comes to those packaged baked good like brownies etc. The store brand is cheaper than the name brand so try it out and see if you like it!

So next time you go grocery shopping take a look at generic versus name brand. Just for fun have a piece of paper with you and write down what you normally would spend on something you buy Name Brand and the Price of the off brand your going to try this time. When you get home add them both up and see how much money you saved!
