A Frugal Fall!
Frugal Fall Activities!
Find a local farm and go Pumpkin Picking!
Look for a local farm in your area that has pumpkins you can go pick!! Many of them have other things going on as we’ll! Our local farm is Huber’s, they have Hayrides out to the field where you can pick your own pumpkin, at this time of year they also have a buffet in the Barn. They have a farmers market and gift shop a nice restaurant with home-style food, and a barnyard area for the kids! Depending on what you do you can have a great day with the family for little money! Plus you can make some yummy pumpkin seed when you get home!
Find a Corn Maze!
Find a corn maze in your area the kids will love it! Most of the time this is pretty inexpensive to do, just a few dollars per person. The kids will want to spend hours running around inside the corn maze!
Play in the leaves!
Get your rake out and rake up a big pile of leaves and let the kids go at it!! Everyone likes playing in a big pile of leaves and it will surely bring out the kid in you!
Go for a walk!
Take the kids on walk to see all the changing colors of Fall! You can pick up some leaves on the way and may something to decorate the house when you get home!
Check your local paper for Fall Carnival and Festivals!
There are many going on this time of year so look into it! There are usually a lot of things at these you can do for free!
